The North American demo for Catherine drops on XBLA and the PlayStation Store a little later today!

If its anything like the Japanese demo (and I’m assuming it is) it should run about 20 minutes long, depending on how well you do at solving the puzzles. If you know nothing about the game, then it is definately something you should have your eye on, especially since it releases soon.

Black Ops Limited Edition landing with 'First Strike' DLC photo

Activision has confirmed that they will be releasing a limited edition of Black Ops which will include a redemption code for the first downloadable content, “First Strike” (which cost $15 alone!). This limited edition will cost $59.99 and will be available for the PS3 and Xbox 360. I’m still not going to invest in it, but this is kinda nice for those that haven’t bought Black Ops yet.

Guess what’s gonna have Kinect support? If you said “Halo!”, you’d be right.

In an interview with Gamespot, Phil Spencer noted that Halo: Anniversary will have Kinect support. Sadly, thats all we know about it. No word was said pertaining to how the game would use Kinect, just that it would use it. So don’t get your hopes up and Recon Armor polished off just yet.

For some, it would seem that the days of challenging 2D platformers is bygone, but luckily, Magiko Gaming has you covered! Today Magiko is releasing the follow-up to Platformance: Castle Pain, and its called Platformance: Temple Death. The game will only set you back a buck, and will offer quite a bit of challenge, while boasting more checkpoints than its previous installment (which should ease your rage quitting a little). Pick it up on XBLA later today!

Usually dev diaries are fairly boring…not this one, though! In their most recent dev diary for Shadows of the Damned (due out June 24th), SUDA and Shinji talk alittle about the gameplay of Shadows of the Damned, but the best reason to watch this is totally for the rediculous new voices that they’re rockin’ throughout. Just watch it for yourself!

Ps: might not be SFW due to lots of profanity and gore and junk

Enjoy it!

But why should you when it can be downloaded straight to your console? I don’t know. Better yet, are they going to run out of download codes for this content? Probablyy not. So, uhhh … yeah, I really don’t know why you’d need to pre-order Annihilation, but the option is out there, I guess. And you can trade in stuff towards the purchase. Wooooo. -___-

On June 28th, Treyarch will release its third map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops. Although no price has been announced, it will most likely cost $15, the same as the previous map packs. Annihilation will include four maps: Hangar 18, Drive-In, Silo, and Hazard, as well as an “all-new Zombies experience, Shangri-La”. This map is set to incorporate “deadly traps, dark secrets, and innovative gameplay that will challenge even the most daring Zombie hunters.” Hm. We’ll see, Mark Lamia (Black Op’s studio chief). 5 maps for $15. Add the previous map packs in the mix, and that brings the grand total to $45 for 15 maps. LOLOLOL.

Playstation and PC users will also most likely be able to snag this map pack for themselves a month after the Xbox release.
